Message
The Department of Oral Biology at Sindh Institute of Oral Health Sciences is currently involve in educating first year students enrolled in 4 year bachelor of dental surgery program.
The oral Biology taught curriculum covers a wide range of topics like development, structure, form and function of the oral cavity and the associated structures. Special emphasis on the gross and microscopic structure of teeth and their supporting structures. Students are taught about Tooth Morphology and Occlusion.
The function and clinical relevance of each structure is concurrently discussed. The teaching by the highly qualified and dedicated faculty members with an aim to develops a fair level of competency among our students. Which later help them to apply the theoretical knowledge into research and clinical practice.
