Message
The aim of our department is to train undergraduate and postgraduate dental students to make them able to understand and treat occlusal and dentofacial anomalies. We focus on teaching proper diagnosis and treatment planning and also execution of the plan through understanding of appliances and their biomechanics. The curriculum involves both lectures, seminars and clinical training as well.
Our orthodontic clinic includes 20 fully functional dental units and up-to-date equipment to provide contemporary orthodontic treatment for patients coming from around the country. Our students are taught to treat wide range of clinical cases under the supervision of skilled orthodontic faculty.
Department of Orthodontics at SIOHS also offers specific electives for those dental students who wish to participate in additional clinical or research experiences.
