Message
It is an occasion of satisfaction and pride for Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) that the Ramadan and Health Conference is returning for its third edition this year.
JSMU being a relatively new university in terms of its structure and operations, is focused on establishing institutions and traditions that are sustainable and responsive to the needs of the society.
We have taken numerous steps to introduce and strengthen research culture at the university. International events and conferences are part of the same efforts to provide a platform to researchers to share and disseminate their findings and gain inspiration from scholars doing valuable work in other parts of the world.
The third edition of the international conference on Ramadan and Health signals the strengthening of the University’s position in the field of research on issues relevant to the Islamic world. Sustained research on health issues relating to Ramadan have the potential to bring about the largely ignored issues of the global Muslim populations into the limelight and JSMU is proud to be playing a sustainable and consistent role in supporting the research in this important area.
I extend a warm welcome to all the participants to the conference and hope for meaningful and quality interaction between researchers with converging interests.
