Dato’ Dr. Mafauzy Mohamed is currently an Honorary Professor of Medicine and Senior Consultant Endocrinologist in Universiti Sains Malaysia. He was formerly the Assistant Vice-Cancellor, Director of Campus, and Director of Hospital at the same university in Kelantan, Malaysia. He obtained his M.B.B.S. from the University of Adelaide, Australia in 1980. He was appointed as a Lecturer after he received his M.R.C.P (UK) in 1985. He also obtained his Masters of Medical Sciences from University of Sheffield in 1987. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 1992. In 1996, he was admitted as Fellow of Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh) and in 2000 he was promoted as full Professor of Medicine.

He is actively involved in the field of endocrinology and diabetes. He also serves as an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom and has been appointed by several universities as External Examiner for Professional Examinations at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and also as Masters and PhD theses examiner.

Dr. Mafauzy is also actively involved in research and has to date obtained over 110 research grants mainly in the field of diabetes, dyslipidemia and thyroid disorders including many clinical trials, including CV and renal outcome trials, relating to diabetes and metabolism. He has supervised over 25 postgraduate students and has published over 100 papers in national and international Journals, presented over 100 papers in national and international meetings and has been invited to give over 470 lectures in national and international meetings. He has been Chief Editor of the Malaysian Journal of Medical Sciences, Journal of ASEAN Federation of Endocrine Societies and Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism. He is also actively involved in accreditation and recognition of medical programmes by the Malaysian Medical Council and Malaysian Qualifications Agency.

Dr. Mohsen Nematy is an Associate Professor and Head of Department in the Department of Nutrition and also work as Vice Chancellor of post graduate education in School of Medicine at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Iran. He has done PhD in Clinical Nutrition from Imperial College London, PhD diploma in Nutrition from Kings College London and Doctorate in Medicine from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. He has more than 150 publications in international and local journals.

He is Editor - In- Chief of a journal, namely "Journal of Nutrition, Fasting and Health". He has established over 30 medical health care centers & houses including Torbat-e-Jam Hospital CCU and Dialysis Department at Torbat-e-Jam city. He is responsible of Scheduling and supervision of over 8 periods of Polio vaccination for Eradication of Polio in Torbat-e-Jam city. He has won many honors and award for his remarkable works.

Dr. Kamran M.A. Aziz completed his medical graduation at Jinnah Sindh Medical University in 1998, and post-graduation in diabetic medicine at Baqai Institute of Diabetes and Endocrinology, Baqai University Hospital in 2003 (Karachi, Pakistan). He is a Professional Clinical Diabetologist, Diabetes Principal Research Scientist and Diabetes Investigator, currently working in Aseer Endocrine & Diabetes Center of Aseer Central Hospital, Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Kamran has a vast experience in hospital and clinical teaching in diabetic medicine and has delivered more than 600 lectures in international diabetes conferences, and clinical training programs.

Dr. Kamran has been involved extensively in clinical research since 2000 and has authored several publications and book. He is serving as Editor and EBM / Statistical Advisor of more than 30 reputed international Journals. His research interest and main focus involves associations between different diabetic complications, such as neuropathy, diabetic foot, dyslipidemia, nephropathy, HbA1c, insulin secretion / augmentation estimation in type-2 diabetics at clinical, pathological and molecular levels. His researches also focus on Diabetics with Hypothyroidism and its associated complications. He has done research also on oral agents such as metformin, GLP-1 / incretin based therapies (DPP-4 inhibitors), oral hypoglycemic agents, and various insulins as well. Also he has worked and published research on Ramadan fasting. His original research articles can be found on PubMed. After the publications, his diabetes center has received award and 1st prize in diabetes research from Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia in 2014.

Dr. Abdolreza Norouzy is the Head and Associate Professor at Department of Nutrition, Mashhad Medical School, Mashhad, Iran. He has done his PhD in (Clinical Nutrition) from King’s College, London. He was Awarded Grants from Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education and Sun Nutrition plc (UK) for his PhD study.

He has experience of teaching for more than 15 years. He has published about 30 research papers in international and national Journals. He is also a member of British Medical Association, Association for the Study of Obesity-UK, British Endocrinology Society, British Association for the Study of Medical Education, Diabetes UK and British Nutrition Society.
