It is an honor and privilege to be writing to you as the new Principal of Sindh Medical College , (JSMU), a role i officially began as on 26-04-2014. Sindh Medical College has gone through significant change in the past eight years as part of DUHS, and since last two years as part of JSMU, especially in terms of expansion in student enrolment and facilities. I believe it is time to take stock of where we are at this point in time and where we want to go. I believe it is timely for Sindh Medical College to go through a strategic planning process. This exercise will help us as it has never been through this process to make decisions related to set priorities in future. Regarding the academic activities, it is to mention that this is the time of sharing knowledge with each others as well as with national and international medical institutes.
As part of this process , I hope, will be able to involve as many faculty members and students. Your input will be critical to this process succeeding in producing an exciting inspirational vision for our future. Now, in the increasingly-globalized world, one key mission of the college is to produce young doctors, capable of playing a major role on the international stage as we are seeing a close relationship between general health and the patient at international level.
